Former President Donald Trump recently addressed his position regarding the controversial 'Project 2025', a policy initiative affiliated with the Heritage Foundation and other conservative organizations. In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated, "I know nothing about Project 2025. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and have no involvement with them."
A partner organization working with Project 2025 is reportedly researching federal employees, as per Just the News. This research aims to identify individuals who may oppose Trump’s potential agenda if he wins the presidency again in 2024.
Meanwhile, speculation about Trump’s vice-presidential pick continues to grow. Newsweek reported that Trump will attend a rally in Doral, Florida, on July 9, just before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. This event has fueled rumors about Senator Marco Rubio being a top contender for Trump’s running mate.
However, Brian Hughes, a spokesperson for Trump, stated that any decisions regarding the vice-presidential pick will be made solely by Trump, with no official announcements expected at the upcoming rally.
Other potential candidates for Trump’s running mate include North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, Senator Tim Scott, and Florida Representative Byron Donalds.
As the race for the 2024 presidency continues, Trump’s VP selection process and his stance on major policy initiatives like Project 2025 are closely watched by political analysts and the public alike.
