A woman from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, has sparked a meaningful conversation about our relationship with nature after sharing her unique bond with an oak tree.
Sonja Semyonova, a 45-year-old self-intimacy guide, opened up about her journey into ecosexuality, which she describes as forming a deep emotional and spiritual connection with the natural world.

Sonja’s story began during the COVID-19 pandemic when daily walks introduced her to a towering oak tree. Over time, the tree became a source of comfort and connection during a period of loneliness and isolation.
"I noticed a connection with the tree. I would lie against it and feel supported by its strength," she explained.
