During the event, former President George W Bush grabbed the spotlight with his playful expressions, prompting his daughter, Jenna Bush Hager, to humorously caution him.
Speaking on Today, Hager shared a clip of her father at the inauguration, which has since gone viral.
“He goes viral for basically anything, he didn’t do anything!” Hager jokingly said to co-host Scarlett Johansson, referring to a video where Bush raised his eyebrows playfully. “I mean, that’s just how his face looks.”
Hager further explained how their family group chat had been buzzing about the incident, humorously blaming former President Barack Obama as a "bad influence" on her father.
“Of course, I’m joking,” she clarified, emphasizing the lighthearted friendship between the two former presidents.
She continued, “I just love how, when they’re together, they form an unusual friendship.”
