Former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has publicly criticized Vice President Kamala Harris and ABC moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis following the recent debate against former President Donald Trump. During an interview on Newsmax TV, Kennedy expressed concerns that the debate failed to address crucial issues affecting Americans, particularly inflation and the economy.
Kennedy emphasized that Americans are struggling due to rising costs, stating, “Inflation is eroding paychecks, and the cost of housing, food, and healthcare has become unsustainable.” Despite these economic hardships, Kennedy noted that Harris avoided discussing these pressing concerns during the debate.
He also linked inflation to government policies, stating that “massive government spending and supply chain disruptions” have worsened the issue. However, the debate moderators failed to press Harris on how the administration plans to address the crisis.
“This was an opportunity for Vice President Harris to outline solutions for economic recovery,” Kennedy stated. “Instead, she dodged the issues that voters care about most.”
Kennedy Blames Debate Moderators for Lack of Substance
Kennedy also criticized the moderators for failing to steer the discussion toward essential issues. “The moderators should have focused on jobs, wages, and economic growth,” he remarked. “Instead, they allowed the debate to be dominated by superficial topics.”
He further argued that political leaders and media elites are disconnected from the struggles of ordinary Americans. “They seem more interested in scoring political points than in solving real problems,” Kennedy said.
Kennedy’s Vision for Economic Solutions
Kennedy positioned himself as a candidate dedicated to addressing economic issues head-on. He emphasized his proposals to reduce inflation, limit government spending, and achieve energy independence to lower costs.
He contrasted his approach with both Harris and Trump, stating that while Trump connects with economically distressed voters, his policies lack long-term solutions. On the other hand, he accused the Biden administration of worsening economic challenges through “irresponsible fiscal policies.”
“This election should be about finding real solutions,” Kennedy asserted. “Candidates must address the issues openly, not avoid them.”
Kennedy’s criticism of Harris and the debate moderators underscores his broader campaign strategy—positioning himself as a voice for voters who feel ignored by Washington. Whether his message will gain traction remains to be seen, but his willingness to challenge both the political and media establishment has certainly made waves.
