Prince William Reportedly Avoiding Royal Family Member Called ‘Unsolvable Problem,’ Royal Commentator Says
Beyond a simple schedule difficulty, the Prince of Wales’ absence from a recent royal function could be a symptom of more serious tensions within the palace. What we know is as follows.
According to royal analyst Charlotte Griffiths, Prince William is purposefully avoiding Prince Andrew, who she said is a recurring problem for the royal family with repeated controversies.
3Griffiths discussed the heightened focus on the Duke of York after Virginia Giuffre’s suicide at age 41 in an interview with GB News on April 28, 2025. When she was younger, Giuffre had accused Prince Andrew of sexually assaulting her.
Griffiths clarified that Andrew made a public appearance at the recent Easter service, but the Prince of Wales was not present.
“What occurs is that, despite the obvious signs that he cannot, Andrew occasionally convinces himself that he can find a way back. He even anticipated a comeback in 2021. Only a year or so has passed since the Newsnight interview. Griffiths revealed, “So, really, time hasn’t taught him anything about his exile.”
On Friday, April 26, an emergency meeting was called at Buckingham Palace in response to Giuffre’s passing. A confidential meeting was held to discuss the matter with King Charles, Prince William, senior advisors, legal counsel, and public relations personnel.
During the meeting, there were disagreements, according to a Palace insider. According to the source, “William believes they must demonstrate humanity.” “Charles just wants it to disappear.”After Prince Andrew was linked to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein,
his royal duties were withdrawn. His role and the difficulties he poses to the monarchy are under increasing scrutiny as a result of the recent occurrences.
Prince William is still keeping his distance from the royal family, which is currently under constant strain as it manages the public’s reaction.
In the midst of this growing strain, attention has shifted to Giuffre, the woman at the heart of the accusations, whose untimely passing has given the developing royal crisis a new sense of seriousness.
Authorities and her relatives revealed that she committed suicide at her house in Neergabby, Australia.
On Friday evening, April 25, 2025, emergency personnel received a call and discovered Giuffre unconscious. She was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts to save her.
Major crime investigators are presently looking into the death, according to Western Australia Police, who stated that “early indications is the death is not suspicious, [sic]”.
She was hailed by her family as a brave warrior who became a light for many survivors after surviving a lifetime of torture and sex trafficking.
They revealed that Giuffre gained the strength to fight back against those who had wronged her when she hugged her newborn baby for the first time.
They claimed that she continued to shine brilliantly in spite of all the hardships she had encountered, but that the burden of her trauma finally proved too much for her to handle.
They said they assumed she was now “with the angels.” Giuffre gained notoriety after claiming that, beginning when she was sixteen, Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell groomed and traded her.
She said that she was coerced into having sex with Prince Andrew and other influential individuals. She sued the king in 2021, alleging that he had mistreated her three times between 1999 and 2002 on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, London, and New York.
In February 2022, an undisclosed out-of-court deal brought the matter to a close.
“The wealthy and powerful are not exempt from being held responsible for their actions,” Epstein said in a statement. Giuffre established Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (SOAR), a nonprofit that supports survivors of sexual assault, as part of her advocacy work. She became well-known for her attempts to empower other victims.
Giuffre made accusations of domestic violence against Robert Giuffre, her husband of 22 years, earlier in April. She said, “After my husband’s latest physical assault, I can no longer stay silent.”
Giuffre’s family claims that she was seriously injured in an alleged assault in Dunsborough, Western Australia, on January 9, 2025, including a pierced eye and a shattered sternum.
Her husband obtained a family violence restraining order against her after the event, which family members claimed put her on the defensive.
Giuffre’s brother and sister-in-law, Sky and Amanda Roberts, said the injuries were so bad that were afraid she might not make it through another assault. Giuffre admitted, according to her sister-in-law, that “if she had one more instance with him, she wasn’t making it out of there.”
By August 2023, Giuffre and her spouse had split up. Three children—Christian, 19, Noah, 16, and Emily, 15—are left behind by her. Giuffre’s lawyer, Sigrid McCawley, recalled her as more than simply a client, calling her a close friend whose bravery and strength motivated others to pursue justice.
Dini von Mueffling, Giuffre’s spokesman, also paid tribute to her, calling her intelligent, humorous, incredibly caring, and a role model for other survivors. She claimed that even during trying circumstances, Giuffre’s empathy and care for other people were always evident.
Giuffre was hospitalised after a crash last month, as we previously reported, and she later claimed that the incident had put her in danger of dying. After a car accident in Australia on March 30, she sent a heartbreaking message on Instagram.
“When a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can,” the caption read.
A bleak fate was also disclosed in the long caption. “I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live,” she said.
Sky Roberts, her father, was really worried about her and felt completely powerless because he was unable to be with her. “She isn’t doing well. He told The Telegraph, “She’s depressed because she misses her kids.”
“Unless she receives a second opinion from a different physician, she has four days. As she stated, it was possible that she would die within four days. However, they might be able to help her with other things if she finds another physician,” he added.
Since the accident, Roberts has not spoken to his daughter; however, his son, Giuffre’s brother, has kept him informed about her condition and has been making an effort to keep her spirits up so she doesn’t give up.
“She’s in terrible condition. She is somewhat melancholy. In addition to the divorce and the inability to visit her children, Roberts mentioned everything else she has been going through.
Additionally, he acknowledged that he and Giuffre had been close at one point but that their friendship had soured over time.
Nevertheless, he would do anything to be with her. “I feel quite nauseous. I want to cry because I adore my baby above all else. “I would do anything if I could,” he added. He doesn’t have the money to travel to Australia, so he’s currently stranded in the United States.
Speaking of their relationship, it wasn’t until her story made national headlines in the UK that Giuffre’s father learnt of his daughter’s experience as one of Epstein’s sex trafficking victims.
“Given everything my kid has been through, I feel so bad for her. […] In a December 2019 interview with “Good Morning Britain,” he revealed, “I had no idea at the time that she was going through it.”
He claimed to still adore Giuffre and to think she was “really brave” for standing up to such influential people.
He wished that he had been aware of Giuffre’s ordeal. “I mean, as a parent, you [kind of] ask the question, you know, ‘How can you not know your children are doing this?'” he thought. But his daughter did well to hide her distress, he noted.
“You know, she never mentioned anything when she would return home from these travels. It must have been killing her from the inside out. However, a small girl like her can be threatened by such powerful individuals,” Roberts stated.
He went on to say that victims may remain silent because powerful individuals may threaten to hurt their loved ones. Given this, he admired Giuffre’s courage in speaking up and defending himself.
The response to the question of whether he thought she was telling the truth was, “I have no doubt at all that she’s telling the truth.” Roberts said it was obvious that Prince Andrew was lying after watching the interviews.
“She [Virginia] has no reason to not tell the truth about this, and he has every reason to deny it,” he said.
At the age of 15, Giuffre secured a part-time position as a changing room attendant at Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida, country club, where her father was the maintenance manager.
She met Maxwell, Epstein’s associate, here. Giuffre told Maxwell she wanted to be a masseuse after they started talking.
She claimed to be employed by a very rich man who was trying to find a travelling masseuse. “I would receive training and receive a good salary,” Giuffre remembered. Thus, the agreement was formed with her father’s approval.
Roberts thought it was an excellent chance for his daughter to gain experience and earn money from a well-to-do job. Sadly, Giuffre would disclose years later that Epstein had trafficked her for sex.
She would be compelled to engage in sexual relations with affluent males, including Prince Andrew. When Giuffre first met the Prince in 2001, she said she was coerced into having sex with him three times: once at Epstein’s estate in New York, once at Maxwell’s house in London, and once on his private island in the US Virgin Islands.
A picture of Prince Andrew with Giuffre is still circulating online, but he refuted the accusations and even stated he didn’t remember ever meeting her.
She eventually filed a lawsuit against him, but the two reached an out-of-court settlement in 2022. Their attorneys said in a statement that “the parties will file a stipulated dismissal upon Ms. Giuffre’s receipt of the settlement (the sum of which is not being disclosed).”
The amount of the settlement was not disclosed, but it was estimated to be in the millions of dollars (or pounds).
Not just Prince Andrew maintains that Giuffre’s accusations are baseless. Many people expressed compassion for Giuffre’s statement, however one public individual involved in the Prince Andrew affair has taken a very different stand.
Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey responded with outspoken scepticism. She uploaded the image of Giuffre’s damaged face on her Instagram stories.
In a string of posts, Hervey kept expressing her scepticism. She asked in one why Giuffre’s husband had said nothing. According to her, he “knows the truth of the fake photo and all her con jobs.”
In a different tale, Hervey denied Giuffre’s assertions that he only had a few days to live. She claimed the FBI was getting ready to take action and implied that law enforcement was getting closer. “She’s conveniently dying to evade jail,” she wrote.
Another pattern she hinted at was that every time a court case came up, Giuffre would “come up with something like this.” Hervey referred to Giuffre as “the Queen of the fake photo,” expressing scepticism about visual proof alone. She said she wouldn’t make snap judgements.
In his harshest remarks, Hervey charged that Giuffre had destroyed families and lives in order to make money. Using the phrase “divine judgement by God,” she claimed that karma has a way of catching up with the situation.
Hervey included Giuffre’s associate, Maria Farmer, in a concluding report, casting doubt on her background and prior legal proceedings. She implied that both women had given authorities fabricated proof. Hervey has previously defended Prince Andrew, as seen by her recent remarks.
She publicly backed the Duke of York at an April 2024 podcast appearance. “I can defend Prince Andrew and say this guy is absolutely innocent,” she added.
Similar comments were made by Hervey in an April 2023 television interview. She maintained that Andrew had nothing to conceal and contended that he had not received media training prior to his contentious BBC interview. She claims that “in his eyes, he’s never met that girl who accused him.”
Hervey also defended his choice to make public appearances after the charges. She claimed that as a show of openness, Andrew brought his daughter, Princess Beatrice, to the interview. “He doesn’t care about some sexual assault,” she stated, “coz it didn’t happen.”
However, Giuffre insists that in March 2001, at the age of 17, she met Prince Andrew in London. She claims to have gone with her ex-boyfriend Epstein and stayed at the house of the prince’s close friend Maxwell.
That night, Giuffre said, the gang went to the Tramp nightclub. She said she had vodka when Andrew asked what she wanted to drink. Although she was unable to identify the drink, she claimed the prince had something clear.
Giuffre claimed later that evening that she was ordered to entertain the prince and perform actions against her will, which Prince Andrew has categorically refuted. According to Prince Andrew, he was not present at the Tramp nightclub on that particular night.
He claimed that between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., he had been at home with his kids and had taken Princess Beatrice to a party at a Pizza Express in Working.
Maxwell, a friend of Prince Andrew, has always refuted the charges associated with Giuffre’s allegations. She characterized the accusations as untrue in court documents. However, a U.S. jury decided otherwise in late 2021…
