The Trump administration is acting on its commitment to eliminate the detrimental immigration loopholes established by former President Joe Biden, and as a result, more than half a million migrants are receiving this message clearly.
The Department of Homeland Security has initiated the process of sending termination notices to around 530,000 individuals from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, and Nicaragua who were permitted entry into the United States under Biden’s so-called parole program.
This program allowed migrants to reside for two years and acquire work permits, contingent upon securing a U.S. sponsor, as reported by NBC News.
However, it has officially come to an end, following the Supreme Court’s decision in favor of President Donald Trump last month.
The Justice Department submitted an emergency request to terminate the policy, which the high court approved. The DHS promptly commenced the rollback process, beginning with the issuance of notices.
In a statement, the Trump administration criticized the Biden-era policy for inundating the country with “poorly vetted” migrants. Officials asserted that the program represented a significant threat to national security and had egregiously misused executive authority.
“This was never about compassion,” remarked a DHS official. “This was about facilitating mass migration with minimal oversight. It concludes now.”
Despite Biden’s team asserting that migrants underwent screening and were required to demonstrate financial sponsorship, Trump officials contend that the program lacked genuine enforcement and permitted exploitation.
With the revocation of parole status, these individuals are now aware that they no longer enjoy protection, and their legal authorization to remain in the United States is coming to an end.
This action is part of a larger initiative by President Trump to restore order, enforce immigration law, and dismantle the open-border agenda.
While Democrats labeled the parole program as a humanitarian necessity, Trump clarified that it was merely a covert amnesty scheme intended to circumvent Congress and overwhelm the system.
The tide has now shifted. The ruling by the Supreme Court signifies a major victory for border security and for every American who upholds the rule of law.
For the 530,000 migrants who arrived under Biden’s ineffective policy, the period of leniency has concluded.
“Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) initiated the process of sending termination notices to individuals who were paroled into the United States (U.S.) under a Biden-era parole program designated for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans (CHNV),” stated the Department of Homeland Security in a press release.
“These notifications informed the undocumented individuals that their parole has been terminated, and their employment authorization based on that parole is revoked – effective immediately. The notices will be dispatched to the email addresses provided by the parolees,” it added.
“The Biden Administration misled the American public.
