A sweeping investigation in Texas has resulted in the indictment of nine Democratic operatives, including a former county party chair, in what prosecutors say was an illegal ballot-harvesting operation tied to the 2024 elections.
Juan Manuel Medina, ex-Bexar County Democratic Chair and former San Antonio mayoral candidate, faces serious charges of vote harvesting—allegedly offering benefits in exchange for ballots. Prosecutors say the scheme was linked to Democrat Cecilia Castellano’s failed bid for House District 80.
The indictments include two former mayors, an ISD board secretary, and a sitting commissioner, further fueling outrage. Phones were seized, homes were raided, and the fallout is spreading fast.
Attorney General Ken Paxton is now expanding the probe statewide—and hinting that more arrests may be coming.
