House Republicans have just advanced a proposal to rename the iconic Kennedy Center Opera House after none other than former First Lady
Melania Trump.
The move, approved by the House Appropriations Committee in a 33-25 vote, would change the name of the historic venue to the
“First Lady Melania Trump Opera House.”
The Kennedy Center has long stood as a tribute to President John F. Kennedy’s legacy, hosting decades of artistic excellence in dance, music, and theater.
Now, Republicans say Melania deserves the honor for her “support and dedication to the arts and humanities.”
Democrats call it
“divisive.” Social media? Exploding. Some are calling it “disrespectful” and “absurd.” Others say Melania earned it.
