Immigration arrests have skyrocketed since President Trump’s return to office, with newly released data showing a massive increase in enforcement across 38 states. In Texas alone, ICE has made over 20,000 arrests — despite falling border crossings. Even traditionally protected areas like Florida and Puerto Rico are seeing unprecedented spikes.
The Deportation Data Project revealed ICE is now averaging 1,100+ arrests per day — up from 300 last year. That number could triple, if adviser Stephen Miller gets his way.
Some of the fastest surges are in red-leaning states like Alabama and Arkansas. But even blue states aren’t immune, with New York and New Jersey reporting rising detentions. To meet quotas, ICE is grabbing migrants from courtrooms and check-ins — pushing many into “expedited removal.”
Miller reportedly wants 3,000 arrests a day. Is America ready for that scale of deportation?
