Just before lifting off on Air Force One this weekend, Donald Trump lit the internet on fire with a bombshell Truth Social post targeting none other than Rosie O’Donnell.
“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship,” Trump declared. “She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
The message, likely intended as a trolling shot, instantly stirred chaos online and on cable news. CNN called in legal experts to dissect the Constitutionality of revoking citizenship — a move most experts labeled “patently unconstitutional.”
The feud between Trump and O’Donnell is nothing new. Their public war of words dates back to 2006 when Rosie slammed Trump on The View. Trump’s latest jab follows O’Donnell’s TikTok video where she accused him of dismantling flood response systems in Texas.
Now residing in Ireland with her child, O’Donnell clapped back on Instagram: “go ahead and try, king joffrey with a tangerine spray tan.”
During a White House meeting with Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin, even the Irish press joined the fray. One reporter quipped, “Why in the world would you let Rosie O’Donnell move to Ireland?” Trump grinned and jumped in, “You’re better off not knowing who she is.”
Whether it’s banter or a new chapter in an old rivalry, one thing is clear — Trump knows how to grab headlines. And Rosie? She's not backing down either.
