Former President Bill Clinton, 79, was photographed this week in the Hamptons carrying a portable defibrillator, sparking renewed speculation about his fragile health.
The images, first reported by the Daily Mail, showed Clinton and his wife Hillary boarding a private jet. Next to them: a Propaq MD Air Medical Bag, a device used for real-time monitoring and emergency cardiac intervention.
This comes just two months after Clinton was caught on video stumbling on a New York City sidewalk, grabbing a pole for support as his leg appeared to give out.
A History of Serious Health Issues
- 2004: Quadruple bypass surgery after near-total arterial blockages.
- 2005: Collapsed lung surgery.
- 2010: Chest pains → two arterial stents placed.
- 2021: Hospitalized with urological infection turned sepsis.
- 2023: Christmas Eve fever, discharged after treatment.
Clinton has credited a mostly vegan lifestyle with extending his life after his cardiac scares, but the recent defibrillator sighting points to ongoing risks of cardiac arrest.
Bill Clinton has now revealed his health is slipping again after he and Hillary were seen leaving the Hamptons with a defibrillator in hand.

Upcoming Testimony on Epstein
Beyond health, the Clintons face political scrutiny. The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed both Bill and Hillary in connection with government handling of Jeffrey Epstein. Hillary will testify October 9, Bill on October 14. Neither has been accused of wrongdoing.
“Traveling on Epstein’s plane was not worth the years of questioning afterward. I wish I had never met him.” — Bill Clinton, 2024 memoir
At 79, Clinton remains one of the oldest living presidents, just behind Joe Biden and George W. Bush. The presence of life-saving equipment, however, ensures that his health will remain in the spotlight as fall testimony approaches.
